Cloud access control and the honest caveats

Cloud access control removes the access server and its patching, and it survives a failed head-end because the door controller keeps enforcing locally. What it does not remove is the subscription: if licensing lapses the management layer stops, and that belongs in the operating budget from year one. Where an existing on-premise system is healthy and documented, we will say so rather than replace it for the sake of it.
