Reader technology selected for the credential policy

RBH offers blueLINE smart-card/mobile readers, proximity and keypad products, long-range and specialty readers, and biometric choices including fingerprint, face and QR recognition. The correct selection depends on credential security, mounting, environment, accessibility, privacy policy and the supported controller interface.

We install the readers, configure Wiegand or OSDP as supported, enroll credentials in RBH software, migrate existing populations, test mobile and biometric workflows and train administrators to issue and revoke access.

RBH reader families support smart cards, mobile, keypad, biometric and proximity workflows.

RBH reader and credential families

M45/M45G mullion

blueLINE mullion models support 13.56 MHz smart-card technologies with available Bluetooth/NFC mobile credentials and Wiegand or OSDP output, depending on the exact suffix.

N86/N86G single-gang

Single-gang smart-card readers can support MIFARE or DESFire and optional mobile credentials. Potted construction supports indoor/outdoor use on specified models.

NK86/NK86G keypad

Single-gang keypad readers add PIN workflows to smart-card and mobile technologies. We program factor logic, duress policy where supported, schedules and audit expectations.

Fingerprint readers

BFR-150 and BFR-350 families combine biometric matching with card/mobile options on specified models. Enrollment stations, templates, consent, fallback and cleaning procedures are planned.

Face and QR readers

BFR-FACE15Q and FACE25Q families add face and QR capabilities, with multi-factor options varying by model. Lighting, placement, privacy, liveness and exception handling need validation.

Proximity and specialty

RBH also lists conventional proximity, long-range, vandal-resistant and specialty readers. Existing cards and bit formats are tested before reuse is promised.

Integration and credential setup

Decision Implementation detail
Smart card/mobile Confirm reader suffix, credential technology, app availability, account ownership, phone policy and revocation process.
Wiegand/OSDP Validate controller support, wiring topology, addressing, supervision and secure-channel capabilities for the installed release.
Biometrics Define enrollment authority, template location, privacy/retention, accessibility, fallback credentials and performance acceptance.
Migration Inventory current formats, duplicate numbers and access levels; pilot a representative group before phased conversion.
