Kisi pricing, hardware, software and installed cost

Use Kisi’s public prices as a hardware and platform reference—not as a substitute for a surveyed, code-aware, installed access-control proposal.

Kisi Controller Pro 2 four-door cloud access controller

Current published Kisi reference prices

Item Official price displayed Planning meaning
One Security Platform Starting at $99 Kisi displays this platform starting point; confirm billing cadence, contract term, included functions and required add-ons in the live quote.
Controller Pro 2 $850 Required access controller; supports up to four access points. Door hardware, power, cabling and labor are separate.
Reader Pro 2 $475 Optional reader for supported mobile and physical credential workflows. Verify the exact hardware revision when Apple Wallet is required.
Terminal Pro $595 Adds Terminal workflows including QR-code use; verify location, mounting, licensing and visitor design.
Wiegand board $150 Migration accessory for supported legacy Wiegand readers and credentials; a security and lifecycle review is still necessary.

Kisi states that hardware and add-ons may be required, installation is not included, and an installed estimate depends on a third-party installer. A third-party “software bundle” price should not be treated as a universal Kisi list price without a dated, itemized quote.

Why cost per door is a site calculation

Door condition

Frame, handing, fire rating, locking hardware, latch condition, egress, accessibility and monitoring determine the door scope.

Pathways and cable

Distances, conduit, penetrations, occupied areas, firestopping, lifts and reuse of existing cable change labor and material.

Power and network

PoE switching, dedicated lock power, battery backup, VLANs, internet resilience and firewall policy may require separate work.

Credentials

Cards, fobs, mobile access, Apple Wallet, visitor links and legacy credential migration have different hardware, license and administration needs.

Software and integration

SSO, SCIM, video, wireless locks, coworking or fitness software, reporting and custom APIs add configuration and acceptance effort.

Lifecycle support

Training, documentation, spares, preventive maintenance, service response, renewals and future expansion belong in the ownership budget.

Information needed for a defensible quote

  1. List each opening, direction of travel, user group, schedule and required credential method.
  2. Document existing locks, readers, panels, cabling, power supplies, network switches and credentials.
  3. Identify life-safety, accessibility, fire-rating and property-management constraints for every door.
  4. Define software functions, identity sources, integrations, administrator roles and reporting expectations.
  5. Approve acceptance tests for normal, denied, forced, held, scheduled and outage behavior.

Request an itemized Kisi installed-system budget

We can separate required hardware, licensing, door work, networking, labor, commissioning and options so stakeholders understand both first-year and lifecycle cost.
