EPI Suite versus Asure ID

EPI Suite

IDenticard positions EPI Suite as easy-to-use photo ID software for smaller organizations, including dual-sided designs, magnetic-stripe encoding and unlimited records. Confirm the live product edition and supported printer/OS before purchase.

Asure ID

IDenticard describes HID’s Asure ID as a flexible path from simple to more comprehensive badging, with an upgradeable workflow. Confirm edition-specific database, design, encoding and integration requirements.

Badging system specification

Decision Requirements
Card construction PVC/composite, size/thickness, direct-to-card or retransfer suitability, durability, slot/punch and environmental use.
Visual security Approved template, photo/signature, color management, front/back, laminate/overlay, holographic or tactile/UV features where applicable.
Electronic credential Magstripe, prox or smart-card technology, format/keys, encoder, access-control enrollment, issuance custody and revocation.
Printer workflow Volume, single/dual side, encoding, laminate, hopper, ribbon/film/card stock, cleaning, spare supplies, driver and network/USB connection.
Data and governance Authoritative identity source, fields/photos, roles, approvals, privacy/retention, reprint audit, lost/stolen handling and backups.

Visitor management choices

IDenticard’s current catalog includes expiring and non-expiring visitor badges, log books, server- and cloud-based visitor-management categories and visitor badge printers. Its published business guidance has also described TEMPbadge, PassagePoint and web-based options. Confirm which products are current and supported for a new deployment.

  1. Define preregistration, walk-in, contractor, delivery, watch-list and emergency/evacuation workflows.
  2. Choose identity verification, host approval/notification, badge type/expiration and access-control linkage.
  3. Protect visitor personal data; define retention, reports, operator roles and device/browser/network security.
  4. Test label/card printing, host response, denied/expired access, sign-out, evacuation roster and outage fallback.
  5. Train front-desk and security teams; document supplies, cleaning, support and replacement procedures.
