Buyer and project-planning guide
Aiphone installer, pricing, wiring and integration
An equipment list is not an installed-system price. A dependable proposal connects the selected Aiphone family with cable, network, power, entrances, locks, fire/life-safety interfaces, software, commissioning and support.

What drives Aiphone installed cost?
System family and scale
IX/IXG, GT, JO, JP, JV, emergency and AC Nio designs use different station, software, gateway, tenant and expansion architectures.
Infrastructure
Existing cable may or may not be reusable. IP projects require validated copper/fiber paths, PoE budgets, switch ports, VLANs, addressing, internet and cybersecurity coordination.
Opening and integration
Electric lock/strike, power supply, fire release, REX, position monitoring, elevator, gate, SIP, VMS, access-control and recording workflows change scope and acceptance.
Survey evidence before selection
| Area | Record |
|---|---|
| Entrances | Mounting, weather, lighting, acoustics, accessibility, directory, reader and vandal-resistance needs. |
| Answering | Reception, guard, tenant, desktop, mobile, telephone, after-hours and escalation paths. |
| Cable/network | Media, distance, certification results, switches, PoE, VLAN, addressing, DNS, time and firewall ownership. |
| Door/gate | Lock type, voltage/current, power, relay logic, REX, position, life-safety release and accessibility operator. |
| Administration | Directory, residents/users, credentials, QR/PIN visitors, roles, backups, changes and offboarding. |
SIP, ONVIF and access-control integration
Aiphone describes IX | IXG intercoms as SIP and ONVIF compliant, supporting integration with compatible VoIP, IP camera, VMS and access-control systems. Compliance does not mean every feature works automatically with every platform. The interface must identify endpoints, licenses, codecs/streams, event direction, commands, authentication, certificates, network ports, logging and failure behavior.
- Write the intended operator workflow in plain language.
- Verify exact models, firmware and software releases in both vendors’ current compatibility material.
- Assign responsibility for configuration, credentials, firewall, certificates and future upgrades.
- Bench-test the integration, then repeat the test at the installed entrance.
- Record acceptance evidence and a rollback/support route.
