Installation, service, maintenance and support
Viking Monitor App, Konnect, Solar, Pricing and Maintenance Guide
Viking Monitor adds remote status, history, diagnostics and control for supported E-4 and VFlex applications, while Konnect supports defined dual-gate communication. Connectivity does not replace a safe gate, monitored entrapment protection or scheduled mechanical maintenance.
We install, configure, service, maintain and support Viking Access products and systems. Our scope can include survey, engineering, authorized procurement, field installation, software setup, commissioning, training, troubleshooting, repair and lifecycle planning.

Connected controls and lifecycle cost: owner and buyer decisions
Viking Monitor
Plan supported board/interface, customer account, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and internet, app/PC access, alerts, history/diagnostics, USB/cloud records and secure offboarding.
Konnect and dual gates
Validate supported board generation, range/site survey, antenna/location, master-slave sequence, overlap, locks, safety inputs and communication-loss behavior.
Solar and battery
Calculate operator/accessory load, cycles, panel orientation/shading, solar resource, batteries, enclosure temperature, low-voltage path and days of autonomy; verify in worst operating season.
Scope the complete system
| Planning area | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Installed price | Operator, control/interface, safety devices, loops, access controls, gate repair, foundations, conduit/power or solar, labor, permits and commissioning. |
| Connectivity | Supported hardware, Wi-Fi/radio survey, customer account, app/PC, notifications, password/recovery, firmware/software and data ownership. |
| Preventive maintenance | Gate movement/hardware, operator mounts, chain/arms, limits, force/obstruction, safety devices, loops, batteries, charging, drainage and pests. |
| Repair decision | Failure cause, parts/support status, board/operator generation, gate deficiencies, safety compliance, downtime, repeat faults and modernization cost. |
Installation, upgrade and acceptance workflow
- Survey gate type, geometry, weight/length, condition, travel, grade, wind, traffic, duty cycle, power, drainage, access-control and emergency requirements.
- Select the exact operator and current manual only after confirming listed application limits, monitored entrapment protection, control board and accessory compatibility.
- Coordinate foundations, posts, conduits, high/low voltage, grounding/surge, loops, photo eyes/edges, locks, access devices and emergency/fire operation.
- Install and program limits, force/obstruction response, timers, sequencing, monitored devices, battery/solar and manual release according to current requirements.
- Test every entrapment zone, obstruction response, access input, emergency/manual release, power loss, battery operation and dual-gate sequence.
- Provide the owner with manuals, keys/releases, settings, safety-device locations, inspection results and a documented maintenance schedule.
