Installation, service, maintenance and support

FLIR United VMS, DNA, Software, Firmware and Support Guide

FLIR security estates may include Latitude, Horizon, Meridian, DNA discovery tools, thermal cameras and legacy devices. Identify the exact product family, server and license state before downloading software or firmware or changing a production system.

We install, configure, service, maintain and support FLIR products and software. Our work includes site surveys, system design, authorized product procurement, commissioning, training, troubleshooting, repair and lifecycle planning.

Video software and device lifecycle: what owners and buyers should evaluate

United VMS architecture

Inventory Directory, Archiver/recording, clients, maps, failover, users, licenses, camera channels, storage and integrations. Confirm which Latitude, Horizon or Meridian architecture is actually installed.

DNA and discovery

Use FLIR DNA only on an authorized management network to discover and configure supported devices. Record IP/MAC/model/firmware and secure credentials; discovery is not a substitute for ownership verification.

Firmware and cybersecurity

Use the exact official model resource, release notes and advisory path. Back up configuration, stage changes, preserve evidence obligations and confirm recovery before maintenance.

Scope the complete system

Planning area What to verify
Servers and licenses Product/edition, version, entitlement, system ID, roles, OS/database, compute, NICs, services, failover and recovery records.
Cameras and firmware Exact model/hardware, firmware, credentials, streams, analytics, certificates, time, network and compatibility.
Storage and evidence Bitrate, recording mode, retention, drives/RAID, archive, export/player, watermark or audit needs and health alerts.
Remote and integrations Client access, VPN/firewall, mobile/web availability, directory, maps, access/intrusion events, API/plugin and ownership.

Installation, upgrade and acceptance workflow

  1. Inventory servers, software versions, licenses, cameras, firmware, storage, clients, integrations and administrator ownership.
  2. Check current official FLIR resources, release notes, system requirements, compatibility and any intermediate upgrade requirements.
  3. Back up supported configuration and license records and confirm a tested recovery route before the maintenance window.
  4. Pilot the change on a representative system or device and monitor compute, database, recording and network health.
  5. Verify live view, recording, playback, search, export, maps, alarms, analytics, users, remote access and failover.
  6. Record versions and acceptance evidence and maintain a schedule for health checks, updates, backups and storage review.

FLIR installation, maintenance, service and support

We install and support compatible FLIR security software, VMS servers, clients, cameras, storage and network components; perform controlled official updates; troubleshoot recording and connectivity; and provide preventive maintenance.
