Perimeter detection
Model the target, distance, field of view, pixels on target, terrain, fence line, occlusion, weather and nuisance sources. Pair analytics with a defined alarm-verification and response workflow.
Multispectral verification
Combine thermal detection with visible detail where operators need contextual assessment. Align views, time, presets, VMS events and evidence retention instead of treating two sensors as unrelated cameras.
Condition and early warning
For eligible fixed thermal applications, define measurement range, accuracy, emissivity, reflected temperature, alarm thresholds, calibration and the operational response. Life-safety use requires appropriate listed systems and engineering.

Installation, upgrade and acceptance workflow
- Document the security or monitoring objective, target, distance and measurable acceptance criterion before selecting a camera.
- Use current FLIR planning data to select the exact sensor resolution, lens, field of view, analytics and mounting position.
- Engineer network, power, surge, grounding, mounting, storage, VMS licenses, visible verification and alarm response.
- Install with correct alignment and environmental protection, then configure time, streams, analytics, roles and events.
- Test day, night and representative weather/temperature conditions with real target movement and operator response.
- Document settings and results, clean/inspect optics, review analytics and verify recording and alarms on a maintenance schedule.
