Choose the application by system architecture and task. WAVE is a server/client VMS, Wisenet Viewer supports compatible recorder viewing, and Wisenet Device Manager is a discovery/configuration and firmware tool—not three editions of one login.
Which software do you need?
Wisenet WAVE VMS
Multi-server video management for live view, recording, search, export, maps, events, health, users and supported integrations. Scope Media Servers, Desktop/Mobile clients, WAVE Sync/cloud ownership, licenses and archive storage.
Wisenet Viewer
Client software for supported Hanwha recorder workflows. Confirm recorder model/firmware, client version, OS, channel load, export/player needs and whether the task belongs in Viewer or WAVE.
Wisenet Device Manager
LAN discovery and supported device configuration, IP assignment, credentials, settings, reports and firmware workflow. Its access must be controlled; discovery is not proof of authorization.
WAVE licensing, server and storage
Hanwha documents mixable WAVE license types. A Pro Recording license enables one camera channel of recording; Embedded/Bridge licensing supports defined recorder-channel viewing/search/playback workflows; Video Wall, encoder and I/O use separate license types. Confirm current SKUs and applicability before ordering.

Download, update and acceptance workflow
- Inventory software, servers, cameras/NVRs, firmware, licenses, storage, users, plugins and integrations.
- Use the official Hanwha support/software route for the current package and read release/compatibility notes.
- Back up supported configuration and license records; document retention and evidence obligations.
- Stage server/client updates in the supported sequence and pilot important cameras/integrations.
- Use Device Manager only with the exact official firmware and a controlled maintenance/recovery plan.
- Test live, recording, search, export, analytics, alarms, remote/mobile, user roles, outage and recovery.
