One XProtect, three user interfaces
Smart Client
Desktop operations for live response, maps, alarms, centralized search, bookmarks, investigation and evidence export. Workstation GPU, displays, profiles and operator training matter.
Web Client
Browser access delivered through the Mobile Server. Define supported browsers, HTTPS certificate, authentication, permissions and externally reachable architecture.
XProtect Mobile
iOS/Android access through the Mobile Server for supported live, playback, alarms, actions and access-control workflows. Test real cellular and Wi-Fi conditions.
Secure login and remote-access design
Milestone describes the Mobile Server as the gateway for remote access and supports encrypted client communication plus OAuth2/OpenID Connect integration with external identity providers for SSO and MFA. Internet publishing still requires architecture review: DMZ placement, certificates, DNS, firewall/NAT, identity-provider availability, least privilege, logging and recovery.
