Access control
Access control enables you to control who has access to your building.
Locks and keys also allow you to secure your building, but when keys are lost or stolen, the inconvenience and expense of changing locks and re-issuing keys can be considerable. Keys may also be copied, creating even more security risks.
Great for:
Secure
Cost saving
Simple card administration
Internal or external doors
Energy saving
A range of readers available
Why do I need it?
Access control offers a secure, convenient, flexible and cost-effective way of controlling who has access to your building and when that access is allowed.
All businesses have to protect assets and employees whilst allowing people to move freely in the areas that they need. It is common in buildings that are secured by locks and keys for doors to be left unlocked all day. This opens up the possibility of opportunist theft and malicious damage.
Installing an access control system means that you will never have to change a lock again. Tokens are issued to allow access through the controlled doors and are easily barred from the system if they are lost or stolen.
How does it work?
Once an access control system is installed, all doors controlled by the system will automatically lock when the door is closed. Anyone without a PIN or access token is unable to enter. If necessary, doors can be set to unlock during a designated time frame.
Access control also offers flexible control over users’ access rights. For example, all staff can gain access through the main door of a building, but access to internal areas may be restricted to those who have a specific need to be there. Access may also be restricted by time, only granting access to particular users at certain times of day or night.
Paxton are leading specialists in access control, with over 30 years experience creating intelligent security systems. They offer both stand alone access control solutions and PC based / networked access control systems, such as their popular Net2 range system.
We are proud to offer Paxton access control systems for residential and commercial buildings in North and South Carolina. We can help you to find out which Paxton access control system is best for you.
Paxton PC Based Access Control
The Net2 Range of PC based access control systems offer you a reliable central control panel for your access control.
The software is easy to use and requires very little administrative training, and is ideal for small to medium establishments, multi-building and multi-site complexes, government buildings, parking lots and more.
Net2 access control system allows the user to add, block and change access permissions readily, as well as see live date, and view and create reports. With it, you can control hundreds of doors and up to 10,000 users. Multiple buildings can be managed from one location.
To top it all off, the Net2 PC based access control systems are incredibly economical. The Net2 software comes with the systems, and can be freely installed on as many PCs as required. Future updates also come as standard.
The Paxton Net2 access control is the most esteemed Paxton product – and with good reason!
Paxton Standalone Access Control
Paxton also offer Standalone solutions for residential and commercial applications who do not require central PC based control.
These systems still offer all of the benefits of high security access control, with up to 10,000 users for Proximity and Cardlock access, and up to 50 codes for Touchlock. Separate control units and readers are also available. You can find the Compact System and the Switch2 System in this range.
